Try them live — these are the app's real backgrounds
40+ animated backgrounds
Choose from aurora, plasma, silk, prism, grid scan, particles, waves and many more. Each one is a real-time shader — not a video loop.
Atmospheres
A collection of 22 color backgrounds where you choose the colors, where each one sits and how they blend. It has its own page to try them live.
Backgrounds that react to the music
Turn the microphone on once and 20+ backgrounds move with what's playing in the room — each in its own way, with frequency and sensitivity controls. Available on Pro and Church.
Customizable colors
Adjust primary and secondary colors of any background to match your church branding or the mood of the worship set.
Per-song background
Assign a different animated background to each song. When the song enters the plan, its background activates automatically.
GPU-accelerated rendering
All animations run on the GPU via WebGL, tuned to stay light on the CPU — smooth even on modest hardware.
Solid color when you need it
Not every moment needs motion. Switch to a flat solid color for quieter sections of the service, using the same style system.
Image and video backgrounds
Upload your own images or videos as slide backgrounds. Combine them with text overlays for announcements or special events.

Frequently asked questions
Are there free moving backgrounds for church?
Yes. The Free plan includes 7 backgrounds: Floating Lines, Grainient, Squares, Halftone Wave, Spectrum, Constellation and solid color. The 30+ others are part of the Pro plan.
Do I need video files to have a moving background?
No. Animated backgrounds are generated in real time on the GPU, so there are no videos to download, convert or load. If you prefer your own image or video, you can upload it as a background too.
How do I put a moving background behind the lyrics?
Pick the background in Style and the lyrics are projected on top. You can adjust the colors to match your church and assign a different background to each song: it switches on by itself when the song enters the plan.
Does it work with any projector or screen?
Yes. Backgrounds adapt to the resolution of the screen connected over HDMI or opened with a link, and they are built to run smoothly even on modest hardware.
